Such a simple tool but works so well! Used it to cleanly cut 1/2 PEX so I could attach a shark bite shut off valve under the sink. I thought it would take a lot of effort, but like others have said it's like a hot knife through butter. Great value! Highly recommend.
It’s perfect for DIY irrigation repairs. Cuts through polypropylene tubing without any difficulty plus it’s small so you can get into tight spaces!! I’m very happy with my purchase.
I was very impressed at how well this cutter sliced cleanly through PEX. I used it on 1 water supply PEX to install a shut off valve as well as a big blue sediment filter and it made perfect clean effortless cuts.
Gauge glass for my boiler sight glass. This tool was listed as a recommended item to purchase along with the 12 gauge glass that I bought. The cutting tool just walks around because it so loose. I could even come close to getting a straight cut. I was able to do much better with a stainless steel tubing cutter.
I tried the pinch cut style glass pipe cutters and it was terrible. Multiple cuts and all of them resulted in disaster. Not so with this little gem!tool cuts much more predictably and is mostly easy to use. Just remember, it’s better to start with a lighter pressure and slowly work up as you cut. Take your time and this tool will give you cuts that are straight enough that sanding won’t take too long. Highly recommended.
